The Cleveland Orchestra Concert At Lakewood Public Library Is Open To One And All

This once in a lifetime opportunity takes place outdoors in the fresh air.

Couldn’t get tickets for The Cleveland Orchestra concert at the Civic?

With a world class organization like the Orchestra coming to Lakewood, it’s no surprise that all of the free tickets were snatched up within minutes of being made available.

Thank goodness for the free Front Porch concert at the Library on Sunday, May 18. It won’t feature the full Orchestra, but it will feature real Cleveland Orchestra musicians in various combos playing beautiful music in the out-of-doors on a (fingers-crossed) lovely spring day.

The concert takes place in front of the Main Library on what is affectionately known as Lakewood’s Front Porch.  The festivities begin at 5:15 p.m. with a choral performance by The Cleveland Orchestra’s Youth Chorus. Then the main event gets started at 6 p.m. with a Double Bass quartet and a Violin and Viola duo.

While the Library will provide a limited number of seats, music lovers are encouraged to bring their own chairs from home—or maybe a nice blanket to spread out on the grass.

The event, part of The Cleveland Orchestra’s residency program in Lakewood is sponsored by Charter One Bank.
