Duct Tape Crafting For Teens

Have you noticed that duct tape has gotten extremely colorful and interesting lately? You may not be aware of the growing trend of crafting with it, but duct tape’s versatility has taken it far beyond the taping of ducts. Jewelry, tote bags, decorations, even clothes have been forged by crafty crafters longing to push the limits of what industrial strength tape can do.

If you are (or know) a sixth to twelfth grader who has never dabbled in duct but are dying to dip in, have I got the starter craft for you. Some might even consider this project the father of tape crafting: the duct tape wallet. It’s simple, it’s functional, it’s fun to make and a great way to get your feet wet in the world of duct tape. Even if you have a few projects under your belt, why not come join us at Lakewood Public Library for a fun afternoon of tape crafting?

Registration is required but the program is free and all of the materials are provided!

Saturday, April 12th from 3 to 4:30 p.m. - Sixth through Twelfth grade only may register. Call 216-226-8275 (ex. 140) or log on to www.lakewoodpubliclibrary.org to register.
