Become A Bench Sponsor—New Benches Coming To Lakewood Dog Park

There are now more U.S. households with dogs than with children, cites the Trust for Public Land. And there are approximately 90,000 dogs in Cuyahoga County, estimates the PUP Program, Northeast Ohio Sewer District.

Whether your business is pet-related or not, chances are your customers own at least one dog. More than 25,000 dogs and owners visit Lakewood Dog Park each year, estimates Friends of the Lakewood Dog Park.

Are you among the many dog owners who frequent Lakewood Dog Park? Sponsoring a new bench is a great way to support the dog park.

Ten new benches are soon to arrive to Lakewood Dog Park, thanks to Friends of the Lakewood Dog Park, Inc. (FLDP) and the City of Lakewood.

“We’re seeking sponsors for each of the new benches. It’s a great opportunity for a business to promote their logo and message at an affordable cost, for decades. Or, for an individual or family wanting a lasting memorial to remember a relative or beloved pet. There are three Bench Sponsorship Options from which to select,” explained Alanna Faith, President, Friends of the Lakewood Dog Park.

The benches have been locally sourced from an Akron area business and are a “green” choice, using recycled HDPE plastic lumber. The 6' bench utilizes the equivalent weight of 749 one-gallon milk jug containers (117 lbs).

The benches are built to withstand the rigors of dog park activity and year-round weather in Northeast Ohio. High quality stainless steel fasteners will never rust or corrode. The highest quality colorants and UV stabilizers are added to the all-weather-engineered lumber process to ensure the highest performance against color fading in outdoor weathering. The benches are designed and constructed with meticulous attention to craftsmanship with strength, stability, durability and the environment in mind. All made in the U.S.A.

There are three Bench Sponsorship options. These will appeal to various business or personal needs and financial commitments:

Bench Sponsor Option #1: 

1 business, individual or family donor, can sponsor an entire bench. Sponsor receives 2 - 15” x 4 1/2” plaques recessed and mounted on each side of bench back slat. For example, one plaque may have a business logo and the other a message. Or, a memorial plaque may be used for one and the other plaque may have a poem or message. Some size, font and number of character limits apply.

Sponsor Fee  -  1 bench: $650.00

Bench Sponsor Option #2:

2 businesses, individuals, or family donors can sponsor 1/2 bench. They each receive 1 - 15” x 4 1/2” plaque, recessed and mounted on right or left side of bench back slat. For example, the plaque may have a business message. Or, a memorial plaque may be used.  Some size, font and number of character limits apply.

Sponsor Fee  -  1/2 bench: $330.00

Sponsor Option #3:

4  businesses, individuals or families can sponsor a bench. 2 names will be listed on a 15” x 4 1/2” plaque, recessed and mounted on right or left side of bench back slat. Some size, font and number of character limits apply.

Sponsor Fee  - 1/4 bench: $170.00
