Let's Get Silly With Capt'n Willie

Ahoy mateys! The very popular Capt’n Willie returns to the Lakewood Public Library for a performance on June 29th. Waves of laughter will be rolling as Capt’n Willie entertains with jokes, trivia, and nonsense. Capt’n Willie calls himself ‘The Great Lakes Pirate’ and includes interesting facts and information about our neighboring lakes. Willie became interested in the Great Lakes when he worked as a tour guide on the Nautica Queen boat and learned that many adults who live in this area did not know basic facts about the lakes. Can you name all 5 lakes? He decided to change that by entertaining and educating young swashbucklers. Capt’n Willie gets his message across: Respect the Lakes so that all can enjoy them safely.

Bring your youngsters to the library on Friday, June 29th at 3:00 p.m., to enjoy a show that is sure to be memorable. All programs are free and open to the public. This event, generously funded by the Friends of Lakewood Public Library, will be held in the Multipurpose Room, which is located in the Children’s Department.
