Lakewood Rec Brings Back Softball Tournament

To benefit the Lakewood Recreation Youth Scholarship Fund, the commissioners of the Community Recreation and Education Commission, Adult Athletic Commission and the Youth Athletic Commission are supporting the ‘First Annual Lakewood Commissioners Softball Tournament.’

The tournament will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2012 and will be limited to 8 coed teams. This round-robin style tourney guarantees each team three games using the Amateur Softball Association Rules. 

A registration fee of $250 per team will be all inclusive; officials, scorers, game balls, etc. Games will start at Memorial Field in the Valley with finals at Foxx field in Kauffman Park. Not only will this be a fun-filled day for athletes and their families, but it supports a great cause with all proceeds going to the Lakewood Recreation Youth Scholarship Fund.
