Superintendent To Present Budget Cuts

Superintendent Jeffrey W. Patterson will present the Lakewood City Schools’ financial plan to balance the district budget at the May 21 Board of Education meeting to be held at 7 p.m. at Horace Mann Elementary School.

The Superintendent had hoped to have recommendations for budget reductions ready for the May 7 Board meeting, however, negotiations with the Lakewood Teachers Association were delayed by a legal technicality that resulted in a longer-than-expected negotiation period and therefore the delay in preparing the final recommendations.
