Planning Is January’s Theme At The Lakewood Chamber Of Commerce

The Lakewood Chamber of Commerce began its one-hundred and first year of serving the greater Lakewood business community by hosting marketing & motivational speaker Katherine Miracle of Miracle Resources at their January monthly meeting and luncheon at Brennan’s Catering & Banquet Center, sponsored by DMS Management Solutions. In keeping with the Chamber’s January theme of “Planning”, Ms. Miracle captivated and engaged the audience in a discussion of Planning for a Strong 2012. From branding to marketing to public relations to revenue development, Ms. Miracle is an accomplished businessperson who has done it, who teaches it, and who gave audience members specific take-aways so that they could be on a successful path for 2012.

Also on the subject of Planning, discussions have begun regarding a 2012 Lakewood Criterium. Last year’s event - the first Criterium race in Northeast Ohio - was well-run and well-received, and members of Team Spin, the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Lakewood are looking for input to make this year’s event even better. West End residents and business owners are invited to an informational meeting regarding a 2012 Lakewood Criterium event. The meeting will be held on Saturday, January 28, at 7 p.m. at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church (18001 Detroit Avenue). Lakewood Criterium committee members would like to hear from residents and business owners on the following streets within and bordering the 2011 race loop: Sloane, Edanola, Park Row, Phelps, Scenic, W. Clifton, Kenilworth, Rio, Gridley, Graber, 1300-1550 Riverside, Maile, Owego, Owego Ct., Mathews, and 18000+ Detroit. Lastly, networking is critical to success in the business community and should be a key component of every businessperson’s plan for 2012. The Lakewood Chamber of Commerce presents two fabulous networking opportunities to kick off the new year: the Northern Ohio Area Chambers of Commerce (NOACC) Great Big Chamber Networking event at the Great Big Home & Garden Show at the I-X Center on February 7, and the annual “Business After Hours” networking event with members of the Rocky River Chamber of Commerce at Deagan’s Kitchen + Bar on February 15 (sponsored by Cox Business). Call the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce at 216-226-2900 for more information about these two tremendous face-to-face marketing opportunities.
