Ranger Football: 1st Day of Practice 2016

I stopped by the first day of "two-a-day" practices for the Lakewood Ranger football team.
It was a warm Monday morning, the boys (and girl) practiced in helmets without pads.

  • The players picked up practice jerseys...sort of like the first day of school.

  • Players outside the locker room waiting for 8am practice to start.

  • Stadium staff doing some last minute cleaning.

  • The equipment is out of storage...it must be first day of "two-a-days"!

  • Players begin going to the field before 8am.

  • Helmet shot

  • Some players warming up before the real work begins.

  • Yes, she is a girl.

Already with four years of football experience this young lady is on the freshman team.

  • Here come some coaches...

  • Now the players are coming out in groups...

  • Time for a few words from the coaching staff.

  • Freshmen and sophomores working at the south endzone.

  • Varsity worked in the north side of the field.

  • LHS Athletic Trainer Jennifer Dix

  • The staff is tanned, rested, and ready for the new season.
