  • Farmer's Market off to a great start!

  • A light for elderly crossing the street from the 3 assisted living buildings near by was removed. Well this gives them at least a fair chance to make it across the street.

  • Boy does this city love signage. This sign was to announce a sign that would be coming soon!

  • The crews working on the new McDonalds on Westwood and Detroit Ave. hit a gas main, and ruptured it. The Lakewood Fire Department and Police Department were called in to shut down the street as the ruptured line could have posible damages at least a few of the residential homes still left on Woodward.

  • The calm before the storm. Minutes after this the firworks were canceled and thousands of disappointed Lakewoodites headed past.

  • Those on Riverside got to see three sets of fireworks, Riocky River, Bay Village and Fairview.

  • On West 65th and Lorain is a building with "Geiger" on it.  So I called Chaz Geiger at the Geiger's Clothing Sotre in Lakewood. "Yeah sure, it is one of my grandfather's buildings. Back at the turn of the century my grandfather had 18 locations around town all near large trolley access. W117, MAdison Ave., and this one. Most of them were closed in the early 1930s.

  • KB Confections now opened, Karen Bosworth the KB in KB has won numerous rewards for her baking and cake decorating, and is also know as the person behind the incredible pies and cakes at Two Dads Diner. Stop in, and pick up some things and order your favorites!

  • At 7:10pm the Priest from various parishes in the area walk down the aisle to reopen St. James Catholic Church ending years of turmoil.

  • Fire on Arthur? Nope, branch fell, and took out the power line and a pole.

  • The pole, which was pretty far from the actual scene, snapped and came down hard.

  • Tree branch that started the entire deal.

  • School Board Member Ed Favre eoys a good read with Ex-Mayor Tom George at the Westend in Lakewood.
