Fall Sports are right around the corner!

This Gallery covers Girls Soccer, Boys Soccer, Football, and the Lakewood Recreation Baseball Skills Camp which was coached by Coach Lamphear and Coach Kammock from Lakewood High:

A new field, new coaches, players and a positive energy is surrounding Lakewood High School's sports teams. The football field is very close to completion, and it looks great. I invite all our Lakewoodites to at least one LHS sporting event this year. You will be a witness to class, sportsmanship and great teamwork. With a new field, and many coaching changes, let's welcome our new head coaches the right way by showing up and supporting our city's sports teams. I hope to see you all this fall, stop by and say hello! Lakewood Athletics is a great way to spend a cool friday night at the stadium with your kids. These photos are proof that our Rangers are working very hard this summer to put on a great show and win some games for everyone in attendance.

  • The football team runs sprints and works out every day, every week. Each week the workout gets harder, but these Rangers won't give up
  • The condition of the grass tells the story. Hot and dry weather is the worst, especially if you're conditioning as hard as the Boys Soccer team.
  • the chicken races, the last workout before heading home. The soccer team practices at 7am to 9am and again later in the evening. two-a-days!
  • the losing team gets to do push-ups.
  • what an exhausting workout. Strength training can't be fun
  • youngsters warm up at the Skills Camp which the Recreation Department puts on for kids every year.
  • Birds chirp as they look at our beautiful sports fields.
  • A beautiful afternoon in Lakewood, Ohio!
