The Art Car Movement is truly wonderful. Taking automotive technology, and artistic deasign
to levels of fun and beauty. Today we look at the fun.
DB Wilson of Los Angles was in town the past couple of days, visiting, Anitra L. Handley-Boyt
who is about to open a new art gallery. This morning Glen Palmer of Lakewood Hardware
sent me a photo, and a heads-up so I headed over to Wagar Avenue to check out the car.
DB Wilson with "The Toaster."
"Many people call the Scion "a toaster" so it became a no-brainer on my third art car." explained D.B.
While very subtle, it is an attention getter.
The detail is good, right down to the liscense plate. "With all of the electric cars in California
I was shocked when I could get "110 V" which he incorporated into the UV Sticker.
Foam and fiberglass is what the toast is made with.
The roof is cut with metal boxes welded in to give "depth" to the toaster channels.
Select desired color of toast...
... then just pop the toast down.
Now that brought a smile to my face to start the day!
Thanks to DB Wilson for the car and the tour, and a big thanks to Glen Palmer at Lakewood
Hardware for the heads up early this morning!

I just knew it was something that should be shared. The back story makes this even better than just the sighting of the car. Thanks for the leg work on this Jim!
