I have what could be perceived as good news for Lakewood, and have been hinting at
part of the good news since I found out by mistake.

Two new restaurants headed to Lakewood. One by Panera, one into the old I-HOP!

And neither one will overfill our current glut of Burger Places! So it would seem that all
places that serve Burgers can breath a little, and I say a little because both places serve
ground beef.

One is the fast food "Chipotle Styled" Moes, which is moving into the DontowN area, and the
second which is moving into the old I-Hop is Cozumel Mexican Restaurant and Cantina.
When I found out the other day I ran out to the one on Brookpark Road and tried it out.

Cozumel's $5.00 Magarita!

Chimichanga Dinner $7.95

Cozumel's Carnita Dinner. The pork was fantastic! $8.95

I think they will do well

I really like Moe's and eat there weekly for lunch in Avon. I prefer them over Chipotle for sure. I find it funny that Chipotle built a store recently in Avon near the Moe's there and now Moe's is building one close to the Chipotle in Lakewood :)

Also sounds great about the Mexican restaurant, although I wonder if it being semi-close to El Jalepeno's on 117th will have any effect? Either way, sounds great!

I am so excited about Cozumel. I used to go to the one in Independence at least once a week when I worked near there. Now it will be within walking distance, that is going to be dangerous!!!

I love Cozumel's. I've gone there with my kids and they and the SO's enjoyed immensely.

It's also one of the few places around that serve good food that my vegan daughter enjoys. Great to have some choices when we have a chance to go out.

Ryan, is this another place you will be visiting four times a day? How will you fit it into your Two Dads schedule?

Cozumel is great, glad it's coming to Lakewood! Moe's...not so much. I'm partial to Chipotle.

Update

Image
Driving by we noticed the new terracotta roof, and saw action so we stopped.

Image
Not terracotta at all but some new recycled material that is formed to look like terracotta
but as thin and as light as a regular shingle.

Image
The area in the circle are the edges of 14 shingles!

Meanwhile inside...

Image
They are coming along, having finished the bar but have a ton to do to meet their opening date
of sometime in August! Yes they have a liquor license.

Stay tuned....
