I know it's not a "Lakewood Sign", but it's one of my favorites. It's inside the Discount Drug Mart on Detroit at the east end of Lakewood.

P.S. Great Song.

No, it is perfect, nice sign, nice shot to share.

One reason I do not personally shop there!

Hey now we just need some of that new Lakewood signage to say "Shoplifters welcome!"

Nice sign, great thought.

Having a hard time placing where the hill and the tree are though.

Jim-

Last year, we noticed Clear Channel had some ugly, empty billboard spaces, and we asked them to put something public-spirited in them.

They came up with this. I think the actual location is in someone's imagination.

Ed

Well then another job well done.

It is the little things that add up, to make a city better.

As pointed out by you, Missy and others.

It is certainly a dream worth working for.

Thanks for stopping in.

Ed,

Cool concept. Like Missy, I can go to that tree in my mind. I wish it was ours.

Maybe you could have Clear Channel contact Ivor or Jim for some photos of OUR best trees and views to use in other communities so that people could go to Lakewood in THEIR minds. Think how happy they would be!

Hi,
I have to agree that picture is better than nothing. But it is a sad statement, bordering on false advertising, to see a sign saying, "Beautiful Lakewood Ohio" over top of an image that isn't Lakewood Ohio. Makes me think of a David Lynch show/movie. Try the Apple pie! Couldn't tell if there was a disclaimer that image is not an actual place in Lakewood but merely a beautiful place somewhere. There are many beautiful places in Lakewood. I don't think we need falsification here. Could be a great contest.

It is always nice to see the Mayor jump on the Deck. I find it fascinating on what he deems worth discussing and what is below his threshold of involvement.
