Stan

There is NO activity there and nothing on the city website that I can see.

It’s like it just was forgotten.

Nothing since 2018:

Last I heard, was city and another party were talking about the second EPA ground check and a possible hold up. According to one source. The ground tested positive for Petroleum in the ground. Not the good way, so at this moment it is almost an EPA Brown field. A road they are also finding further down Detroit Ave. The thought is petroleum, seeped into the ground from one of 3 gas stations that were in the area back in 50s and 60s. Same with Hospital, and around the West Side of Lakewood near the bend heading towards Rocky River.

damn-- in my 50s and 60s innocence I just thought that kids would naturally gravitate to a ballfield

OOPS!

Somebody didn’t do their due diligence!

I see a pattern here.

Like other things, I bet they are motivated at least in part by the election. Building the tee-ball beer garden is not a good look.

No loss. Really don't need a bar next to little kids playground. Upside is that some polluted land gets cleaned up.

While I agree that we don't really need (another) bar next to a playground for little kids, I wouldn't count out the beer garden yet.

Beer is a major priority in this town.

Yes, it sure is.

I walk by Harry Buffalo every day. This past week there was yet another large barf stain with remnants of food particles on the front sidewalk. The greasy, messy stain is still there. I guess they never heard of soap.

Bridget, no, I don't know anything more than what has been made public.

I only know of whatever environmental concern there may be because of Jim. He knows a lot of people, and hears a lot of things.

We had meetings with Planning in the Spring regarding parking on Edwards and any accommodation the city might make.

I saw social media posts from one of the developers and someone in the planning department approximately 2 months ago, stating at the time that they expected to break ground in a few weeks.

Things move slowly.

That's all I know. I have heard nothing to indicate definitively that the plan has changed.

More core samples being taken today.

I have not found a single old timer that remembers and business on the property that was oil or gas related.
