Last night someone I know started talking about the development planned for the old Marathon station on Lake.
He mentioned that the residents were given very short notice of the changes. He complained that the City approved variances that allowed construction near the sidewalk instead of set back to align with current housing. He also mentioned secret a $100,000 payment to the developer.
What's going on?
Are our elected officials doing something about openness and accountability or are they just talking about it?

Request copies of the Zoning Board, Committee of the Whole and City Council Minutes. The Committee of the Whole will give you 5 minutes of discussion, the City Council will give you the formal bobble heads approval of the zoning boards recommendation and if they approved 100k. Additionally, request the date the notices were mailed by the zoning board and if everyone was mailed a copy that lives within the required distance.
