Madison Ave. Birdtown Design Planning Community Meeting

Postby Melissa Page » Tue Oct 05, 2010 1:51 pm

City Hall applied and received a grant from NOACA this year to create a master plan for the section of Madison Ave. from 117th St. to Clarence Avenue (that is includes just up to Madison Park, Mahall's, and Madison Library.)

The firm chosen by City Hall Planning & Development with input from a few Madison area residents and community leaders is Dimit Architects.

Attached is the notice about the 2nd Community Meeting being held to get feedback and ideas from the community.

The immediate surrounding residents and most certainly birdtown residents all should have received a flyer on their door about this meeting. It is critical that we have a number of Madison Ave. businesses here at this meeting too. Whether you are in this district or not, this master plan will impact decisions for all of Madison Ave. as it relates to streetscape, road, sidewalk, beautification ideas and planning.
