Aston Marton DB7 Vantage

Image
Pauls Sykes, owner of the Beck Café calls to me as I walk out of The Root Café,
from his wife's new Aston Martin DB7 Vatange.

I have always known that Paul has one of the best eyes for art, since meeting him
over a decade ago at his Avenue Art Gallery's Peter Max Show. Paul's gallery is the real
deal, always some of the finest art in Ohio, not just the area.

Good pics, Jim --- lots of details for fanatics to comment on, like the most elaborate, filigree grill I've ever seen. Quite an improvement on the !958 Buick grill.

But, I look at those faux? vents on the fenders--- are they functional?

The engine layout is nice as are the dual exhausts.

Wonder what kind of trick shit the car has?

If they are non functional side vents, we jokingly call them "speed holes."

But, uh, wow, Ive seen that Aston Martin before but I had no idea it was a DB7. There were only a few thousand made. And it has a V12!!! :!: :!: That is all the 'trick shit' it needs. Dang. Beautiful car.

The 2012 Fiat 600. This were not even supposed to be in the USA until this fall.

Another remake of a European classic.

Great to see one out and about on the streets, finally. I though they looked great at the auto show.

As I had mentioned the new version had been given any great, "buy this car" but Motoring Car, tested the
American version in the UK and found it to be addressing all of the issues they had found fault with, and said
for the money, a fun little car.

After putting $56 in the Honda today, I think it might catch on.

Crazy to think that that Accord is now a "gas guzzler"

I don't see any reason on the international front that would cause the hedgers and speculators to retreat on the price of oil any time soon.

Maybe this ought to be the summer of "getting smart" and trying to get sensible on gasoline use.

How 'bout a special App or thread on the Deck that sets up carpooling for shopping or other regular activities?

This is something that could be a first; but I think Lakewood is uniquely configured so this might work.

We saw this parked in the little lot next to Marc's Plaza on Warren yesterday. There seems to be some debate over whether it's a real Lamborghini-- I don't know enough about them to tell but it was really cool.

The one that Betsy took pics of looks like a kit car. Same lines and features but it looks like the pieces came out of a box
