Noticed that the Cracker Park MainStreet SIgn and the Lakewood MainStreet sign are both pretty similar. They're both awful.

We had a member of the Observer talk about what he gave up for Lent in another thread.
And we have another one of Lenten Specials around town and the churches.

I saw this sign last week, and all I can say is brought a flood of Lakewood memories
back to as I saw the logo, but as I read the sign, it made me wonder just what we
are missing...

Last night I had the pleasure of walking Lakewood streets as I often do. It is always
interesting when the city warms up, and people emerge from their winter hibernation.
This was a shot of the 56 West Sign I had not seen before.

Image
As I stood in the center of the road taking some time lapse shots of Lakewood's favorite
fine dining burger experience. Owner's and old friends Jay and Don wander out to tell
me to get out of the street and come in to a going away party for a Lakewoodite,
shipping out this week to Afghanistan.

How odd, it sounded so foreign. With all of the talk of jobs, and health care, and schools,
and this and that, we do not hear much of Afghanistan these days.

Party will be covered elsewhere.

Dustin

Lakewood is way to upscale for chickens.

AHH HA!
Gotcha.

The Chickens are one thing. But those Roosters are quite another.

Stopped by at lunch and spoke and met these two. Yes it was a fascinating conversation.
Much of it revolved around "word of God" or "inspired by God" and "that as
I use a Bic pen, God uses people to write for him."

A living stop sign. In Tremont and Coventry they knit covers for their poles. Here
in the city of LEAF community gardens , trees and green living, we grow ours.
Yes the pole is that crooked.

So, does it count as loitering if there is a bench? Or is this entrapment? ;-)
