Second A La Cart Chef Demo on Tuesday November 29th

Lakewood Community Services Center’s new program continues at 2:00pm on Tuesday November 29th at the City of Lakewood’s Cove Community Center at 12525 Lake Avenue.

This week’s celebrity chef is Ben Bebenroth, chef/owner of Spice Hospitality Group. Chef Bebenroth’s newest venture is Boom’s Pizza, slated to open in mid-December in the space formerly occupied by Campbell’s Sweets on Detroit and Warren. Chef Bebenroth and Chief Culinary Officer Jonathan Bennett will be offering ten to 12 pizzas that they describe as a cross between NYC and Neapolitans style pies.

At his A La Cart demo, Chef Ben will be preparing his signature Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese, a healthy, delicious take on this favorite winter comfort dish.  Everyone attending will get a sample and a recipe to take home with them.

If you can’t make it in person, you can watch this episode on Cox 45 Community Public Access Channel on Tuesday December 13th at 4:00pm.  You’ll learn how to make this yummy dish, but you won’t get a tasty sample!!

Mark you calendar for Tuesday November 29th at 2:00pm and Tuesday December 6th at 2:00pm when Chef Gregg Korney of Georgetown will take the demo stage.

You can keep up to date with these upcoming events and the 2023 chef demos on LCSC’s FB page, on the City of Lakewood’s page and on the City of Lakewood Department of Human Services FB page.
