Spooky Pooch For The Dogs - Photos And Video

Postby Jim O'Bryan » Sun Oct 17, 2021 7:27 am

Yesterday was LakewoodAlive's Spooky Pooch Parade, a favorite with the community and outlying area, and the dogs really love it!

Here are some of the photos posted with links to the full galleries.

Thank you to everyone at LakewoodAlive for the efforts on this and everything around Lakewood. Since taking over, LA's director Ian Andrews has charted a course to make LakewoodAlive one of the most positive efforts in Lakewood. They deserve all of our support.

Also thank you to the sponsors and all of the dog owners, walkers and dogs!

Why is it I think this event is more important to Lakewood photographers than the dogs?

Actually the dogs this year seemed happier than in years past.

Dan, the number of events I hit where "photographers" out number participants is amazing.

Some do it for assignments, others do it for pleasure, far too many do it for feeding their "narcissism and faux legend building" and let's not forget the "influencers! (hahaha).

Madison Park seemed easier and more friendly for the dogs.

And with the sophisticated phones with cameras, anybody can style themselves as a "photographer." And despite my past association with the event, I would never dress my dogs for anything other than the weather.

Which is why some looking to establish themselves skip actual captions for "Deep thoughts from Jack Handy" or something they feel will make the viewer go, "Whoa that's deep."

I'm with you on dressing up dogs, or adults for that matter.

But it raises money and awareness of a good cause.
