From Emily Christescu

That's the County's public request - I should've included that for further information.

County requests PPE donations.

At this time, certain clinics and hospital systems are down to only a couple of days worth of PPE (personal protective equipment), as they hope their routine deliveries will still be made. Dr. Amy Acton, Director of the Ohio Department of Health, states that nurses may use more than 30 pairs of gloves per patient. The county has a collection point for donated items that is practically empty.

Our healthcare systems are in dire need of PPE and we are calling on local businesses and residents to step up and support our professionals on the front line fighting COVID-19. Beauty salons, tattoo parlors, veterinary hospitals, vocational schools, restaurants or contractors who may not be working in their usual capacity might have these items to donate. Even a single box is worth donating at this time.

A collection point has been established at the Cuyahoga County Public Works Garage located at 2501 Harvard Ave. Newburgh Heights, OH 44105.

The hours of operation for the collection point will be Monday-Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Unopened boxes of the following items will be accepted:

N95 masks

Surgical masks

Gowns

Eye protection

Face shields

Nitrile gloves

Disinfecting wipes

Hand sanitizer

I am also willing to pick up these items from residents and businesses, or items can be dropped on my porch at 2017 Waterbury Road, Lakewood, OH. emily.christescu@gmail.com / 216-355-8474

Thank you for helping the healthcare professionals on the front line fighting COVID-19 save lives!
