The Artemis/Orion space capsule sits in its testing cradle at NASA's amazing Plum Brook Station.

Some of you might remember back in November when we covered the Artemis/Orion spacecraft arriving on the Super Guppy in Mansfield.

Saturday March 14 I was invited back to see the spacecraft one more time after successful testing at NASA's amazing Plum Brook Station. Which also happens to be the opening set when Loki comes to earth in the film "Avengers 1"!

So here are a couple photos, and check them all out at:

It arrived in November after NASA moved and lifted over 2,500 wires crossing the back roads between Mansfield Airport and Plumb Brook.

The capsule and other features were connected to over 2,000 instruments to measure all aspects of the test.

Then, the room is locked down and bathed in liquid Nitrogen, which enters as a gas and cools the room to -300 degrees. Then that is cycled out and the room is heated to +300 degrees. While that was happening the room was also blasted with vibrations from speakers equal to over 100,000 concert speakers. It has been said that when the room is in full “concert” mode, you can feel it in your feet up to a mile away. If that was not enough, the room is also flooded with Radio interference to make sure the electronics are shielded.

The Artemis/Orion space craft is scheduled to take the first woman to the moon in late 2021, and then on to Mars.

A look around the entire room which was massive.

It is truly an amazing place that was a dream to finally go through. We cannot underestimate the impact of NASA on not just the Solar System, but Earth, the USA, and in Ohio with three good-sized footprints of businesses employing hundreds of businesses and workers.

NASA, thanks for the tour.
