Clifton Re-Opens After 3:20pm Roll-Over
Around 3:20pm Firefighter Seth Andregg was coming back to Fire Station 3, when he noticed a car rolling over way down on Clifton.
Seconds later Lakewood Firefighters were cutting the driver, a female out of the upside down car.
I was traveling East on Clifton at Webb Road, when a text came in. I turned on the police scanner, and the call was going out, when literally a fire fighter responded, "we just got her out of the car." Talk about on the spot. Women was wearing her seat belt, and only suffered small cuts and was shaken up.
Driver's door.
Kufner there nearly as quick as the police, get ready to right the car.
One note, while at the scene many drivers blew through the clearly marked closed roads, nearly hitting safety workers. The entire road was closed, the officer at Cove and Clifton was nearly hit three times while wearing a yellow vest. PEOPLE SLOW DOWN, DRIVE SMART.
Great work Lakewood Fire and Police, you are the best!
And thank you to Lakewood owned Kufner Towing for cleaning up the mess, and getting Clifton open by Rush Hour.

How does this happen?
I mean, the physical force necessary to roll over a heavy vehicle - were they speeding, hit something, lost a wheel?
It seems to happen a lot lately. Driving while texting?

Cars were being driven in Lakewood?
Bridget, it actually takes very little energy to roll a car. I have seen them rolls at under 20mph. When the perfect conditions happen, over it goes.
This actually looked to me like the car might have been turning East on to Clifton, when the driver lost control going into the West bound lane. The car into the telephone pole was obviously trying to avoid the Jeep. I bet at nearly the same time, the driver of the flipped car steered quickly to the right, and the car goes over.
There was no indication of vehicles hitting each other.
While this is odd, the behavior of drivers being forced to go 1 block out of their way was terrible. How does one see two tow-trucks, 6 police cars, 3 fire trucks across a road, and try to go around the police and blow through at full speed?

You wonder if that broken tie rod caused the accident, or happened after...

Good eye.
It certainly would explain the track of the car.
Though I saw no digging in.
