LO's 2019 Halloween Throwdown
Well, it is that time of year, and the Lakewood Observer is again looking for the best of the best from all Lakewood residents, whether you’re decorating your home, apartment or business for the holiday season of Halloween. We will be looking for homes that capture the feel of this spooky season. Awards for Best Overall, Best Homemade Decorations, Best Use of Inflatables, Scariest Neighborhood, Best Business Store Window, and two special prizes for Best Photos of Trick-or-Treaters, your own children or ones coming to door.
*Prizes are provided by: Woodstock BBQ, Melt, West End Tavern, India Garden, Root Cafe and Rood, six of the top restaurants in Lakewood and huge supporters of Foodwood© and the Lakewood Observer project.
Submit addresses for good Halloween houses at: http://lakewoodobserver.com/daily-question/2019-10-02
Photos can be posted on the Deck here: http:// lakewoodobserver.com/forum

As I mentioned last year, you should have an award for effective subtlety/simplicity.

Hi all--- before the election is ... Halloween! If you haven't sent in photos of your favorite Halloween decorations-- the ones on your own house or someone else's that you admire-- now's the time. Have some fun, drive around, look past those election signs. There are some really cool ones out there.

Re: LO's 2019 Halloween Throwdown
What a cold, wet and windy Halloween, still Lakewoodites showed up with a record number of entries.
All photos will be posted this afternoon...
Voting will start at 6pm tonight and run through Sunday midnight.
Winners will be announced Monday!
EVERYONE upped their games. All of last years winners, added to their front yards, and a couple new massive displays have popped up.
Also this year others followed the lead of some of the winners last year doing their front yards driveways and back yards!
The amount of work done was impressive.
Stay tuned, and thank you everyone!
