Last Day To Register As A Write-In Candidate

Postby Jim O'Bryan » Fri Jun 28, 2019 7:58 am

Well, if no one registers as a write in candidate by close of business day, the field for this year's election for Council and Mayor's race is set.

LO staff and members have been talking with most of the candidates and have found them to be bright, full of ideas, and somewhat set in beliefs and why they are running.

While some have met many times, and love talking about their ideas and themselves, 3 candidates seem to live in the shadows, and are unwilling to go one the record. To be honest this is somewhat of a surprise.

Stay tuned we will be digging into the candidates that are willing, while allowing them full access to get their information out.

At the same time, we will be covering all candidates, for this election is important, and lies will not rule this election as they have in the past. The last three elections allowed politicians to flat out lie to residents to get elected, and we have seen the fallout. Even the courts agreed after 3.5 years in the courts, City Hall withheld, destroyed and kep valuable information from Lakewood voters that would have been relevant in those elections.

Mayor Summers and his pals used lies and deception during three elections with great success. Don't expect anything to change.

Jim, please name names if you are comfortable doing so.

All meetings were off the record, and very little of the discussions were about the elections.

Dan, you know how I work. I want to know who they are as people, get some groundwork laid, and some agreements for down the road.

You know like people meeting that do not know each other. Some conversations lasted 30 minutes, some went 3 hours.

2 candidates never answering the calls or emails. One, running for the hills, sending in their team to talk and deal with us.

It all underlines, an important observation on how they will deal with Lakewood residents and businesses. They won't
