Around 11:30pm a call went out. "Single motor vehicle accident on Northland and Detroit. Within seconds a call came back, "I'm here, car went through garage, driver is out of it send back-up and ambulance."
Sure enough, by the time I got to the scene, the parking lot had been closed off with police cars and firetrucks around.
The garage is on Orchard Grove, and is also the garage of Blues Legend Colin Dussault.
The car was still in the garage, after going through a fence. Driver was still in the car.
Suddenly police and fire emerge with a stretcher and the driver on it.
The scene restored, neighbors calmed down, relatives talked with. Lakewood Fire took driver off to the hospital for a check up, and ordered was restored.
Kufner was called to remove the car, and the garage had to be reinforced as it was in danger of coming down.
You can check out Colin Dussault's amazing talent here:
Good work Lakewood Police, Fire and Kufner!
