Hmmm North Coast Health got money - I’ll bet Jay Carson was happy. And they don’t exist anymore - taken over by a regional provider. https://www.nfpmedcenter.org/about-us-1

And mental health liaison at LHS - is that 100 grand for one person?

That's about the salary range for such a person.

Candidates for council are eager to talk about global warming, cell phone use and banning the plastic straw but scared to death about discussing the Three Arches Foundation or Healthy Lakewood Foundation. Why?

$70 million in City money will be allocated to private foundations and everyone is silent. They are scared to death to even ask for the paper trail. Why is that?

We were promised that the two foundations would be open, accountable and accessible. Is there any evidence of that?

Bill

While 3-Arches named after part of the community owned profitable institution they helped to destroy, will be very closed to oversight. Just like city hall.

The healthy lakewood is starting public meetings. What that means to any of us remains to be seen, but at least they are starting off better.

We shall see.

If we should have learned two things over this past couple years, secrecy means residents getting screwed, so we must chose transparency and accpuuntability. Two, no one involved in this debacle should ever be allowed in office or near any pf the funds that came out of it.

Tax free foundations are required to make public their IRS form 990. Three Arches has ignored by request for their 2018 form 990.

You can search the IRS web site to find 990's:

https://www.irs.gov/charities-non-profi ... ion-search

Three Arches 2017 is available. The 2018 is not.

I can't find a filing for Healthy Lakewood.

Does a nonprofit have to disclose financials?
Yes. Nonprofit corporations must submit their financial statements, which include the salaries of directors, officers and key employees to the IRS on Form 990 as mentioned above. Both the IRS and the nonprofit corporation are required to disclose the information they provide on Form 990 to the public.

Apparently Three Arches Foundation operates under different rules.
