What Is All That Shooting On Delaware?

Postby Jim O'Bryan » Thu Jan 31, 2019 5:05 pm

Around 1:38pm today, residents on the 14200 block of Delaware heard what they thought were gunshots and looked out their window. What they saw was a man chasing a gray sedan eastbound down the street, shooting at it.

This man was meeting 4 males in their car to sell them some guns. The 4 males pulled their own guns, and robbed the man. They threw him out of the car and took off. The man selling the guns, who had a license, was running after them and shooting at them, in the open, at 1:30pm on a residential street with school off!

The police were called, and were told the story by the man selling the guns. Two of the thieves were seen bailing out of the car and were last seen heading towards Lakewood Hts. Blvd. on foot, one headed south down Brown, the other headed east going through backyards..

A witness at the scene said she heard the man who was shooting at the car say that he was a registered gun instructor.

One gun was found in the street.

More to follow...

It’s the Wild West!

Just what we need in our densely packed city - one good man with a gun!

I hope they charge the guy. That’s unlawful discharge of a weapon. Let’s see if our wimpy law department will take action

That guy?!!

How about the four kids that stole a duffel bag of guns?

Well look at the bright side, what is described as a duffel bag filed with guns, is now on the street with kids, not afraid to pull them on a person who is probably carrying. In the middle of the day.

I am hoping to see 5 people in court on this one.

Not a word from the mayor, our “safety director.”

Speaks volumes about how he deals with crime in Lakewood.

Police logs now online. Call at 13.38 listed under “Suspicion.”

Thanks to our “new” log system, there is no longer a narrative of the event. wonder why?

He failed as Mayor to protect the City and he is failing as Law Director in protecting the residents.

Worst Mayor? Worst Safety Director?

Maybe it is time to separate the jobs. Could be part of the problem.

We all know that competent person at works that is doing his job pretty well. Then another task is added to their daily grind, and they become the worst employee in the company. Impossible to deal with. Things ignored, stuff hidden, short cuts taken, until it all falls apart.

That hour was not Lakewood's finest moment without going into it.

Lakewood Police did the best they could with what they were given.

Just saying...

Nah, show evidence that he was the competent person at work. I doubt he was ever the competent person at work. He was elected to this position, and used the power of that position for no damn good. No damn good at all.

Next time the NRA spews about good guys with guns, provide this role model registered gun instructor operating at peak situational awareness and skill.

Three days after we broke the story, and no news from what we presented minutes after it happened.

Not as good as beating national media to LeBron coming home by 3 days, or Lakewood Hospital leaving by 5 months!

Civic media, interesting at times.

I know the Observer was first, as usual. And I know the Observer can’t be muzzled.

Look how long it took for 19 to post that. And where are the others? You know the mayor hates bad publicity and he dies his best to make sure no “negative” news gets out there.

Super pissed at this man who decided to sell these guns where he did and how he did.

Completely agree.

Someone has a cache of guns, sells them out of their home in a residential neighborhood, the “buyers” rob the owner, then the guy is out in the street shooting after the getaway car!

Where does this sound like?

And now this, cocaine trafficking in the city.

Where is our safety director?
