Burglar? Bungler? You decide...
Just before midnight last night, a call went out that a woman had heard someone trying to get into her home on Maple Cliff. She called police then saw a dark figure walking away from her house. He stopped to try a door on another house. Within minutes the police descended on the scene, and the man had vanished!
A car leaving the area was pulled over and a man fitting the description. Inside the car was a bag that matched the description the woman gave. After talking with police, and others the police took the man in for Attempted Burglary.
The entire incident was wrapped up in under an hour, and Lakewood started the new year off a little safer than before!
Good work Lakewood Police!
