Pick it up at over 100 locations around town, and or download it here:

As we get into November we start off with a trip to Hixson's and a talk with Mr. Christmas. Bill Hixson has a new book out and we start to take a look at it, and a look around Hixson's. Every year tens of thousands head to Lakewood to walk through Hixson's with family and friends, picking up new ornaments, looking at old Christmas and holiday decorations and customs. Bill's new book is all about "Christmas Traditions, around the world."

We also take a quick look back at the past couple weeks and winners and losers around town and the area. Some of the biggest winners in the area are Nickie Antonio, and Mike Skindell who both won in their runs for elected office and we go over all the political races worth checking out.

Thanks again to all of the advertisers, writers, editors, photographers and volunteers who make this project possible, and give it its rich depth and insight into the community we call Lakewood. During the holidays family means so much, and the Lakewood Observer family-- 7,500+ strong-- really starts to crank up the great vibes and warmth that makes Lakewood the best location in the nation.

peace/love
