The first weekend after 9-11 they stage the Heroes Run, that starts at St. Joseph and comes down Rocky River Drive past the Fallen Heroes Monument into Lakewood, down into Emerald Canyon and back up and back to St. Joseph. There is a 1L, a Walk and a 5K, all to remember our fallen heroes, 9-11, and raise money for Police and Fire Charities.
Lakewood Fire Department gets ready for the runners.
Making sure it is all perfect.
Ready for the runners.
The Fallen Heroes Monument.
Just in time for the runners!
People stopping to remember our Fallen Heroes.
Including Lakewood Police Officers running with family members.
Families posing for pictures at the monument.
And in front of the flag.
The runners just kept on coming.
By the end of the race it was covered in flowers, love and prayers.
Good work everyone that took part. And as always good work Lakewood Fire and Police Departments, and
THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO FOR US!
