Property Tax Estimator with New Values

Postby Bridget Conant » Wed Sep 05, 2018 10:35 am

Councilperson Tristan Rader posted this on Facebook. Using your proposed values, you can see an estimate of the dollar amount of your property tax increase.

Mayor Summers will see a DECREASE in his property taxes.

With the now declining access to healthcare, this makes sense? /sarc

Recalling a thread here from awhile ago that caught the "attention" of City Hall. It talked about repaving streets and how the mayor's street was first, even first of streets in his area that was prioritized for other good reasons. Overall the thread itself contained a lot of unhelpful comments, but that was one point that stayed with me and is worth revisiting in this context.

He’s a cheerleader for the notion that increased appraisals mean all is good in Lakewood. BUT, most of us will feel the pain of increased taxes on top of already high taxes.

He’s not sharing in that pain, is he?
