It is certainly interesting that two Democratic electeds in Lakewood (the mayor and president of city council) not only chose this year to post, to the publicly funded city web site, an ethically lacking attack on a Democratic candidate to be Lakewood's state rep…

…but have left it and their personal quotes online, even now that said candidate is the formal Democratic nominee in a contested general election campaign.

I think our boy has stepped over a line. Again.

No link, because I know Jim hates that, but there is a story on Patch:
headline: (note: "politician," not "candidate" or "State Senator")
"Lakewood Politician Comments On Supreme Court Labor Decision"
deckline: (note spelling of "The".)
"he decision essentially brings so-called "right to work" to public sector workers in Ohio and across America."

It's accompanied by a somewhat unflattering photo of Mike Skindell.
Next to it, under "Featured Events" is the "Jun 28 Carson For Ohio Fundraiser At Deagan's In Lakewood".
"Story by Lori Uldricks."

Who to complain to? Patch, AOL, or the Board of Elections?

Why bother to complain? They obviously don’t care who they hire or they’d hire real journalists with degrees and pay them decent.

Well according to one of my lawyers, AOL hasn't owned it for awhile. It has slipped through various hands as now is being owned? Lawyer is in Seattle.

They have not filed their Ohio paperwork for years, that we can see.

Hearing the details of the Annapolis shooting leaves me very concerned about our local situation.

But think of those not mentally ill, that have used someone's sickness to further their own careers, lies, coverups and bullshit.

Think of the politicians and civic leaders that feed it and legitimize it for their personal gains, knowing just how ill it all is.

Those are the ones that should also be held accountable.

Jay Carson and others should be held accountable for the people they hang with and use.

It’s so similar it’s frightening.

All those who choose to ignore do so at their own peril.

Clearly, constant tweeting about objects and people with whom you have an unhealthy obsession of are indicators of potential to cross the line.

The big problem is when there is acting out, and there's been plenty of acting out, and represented by attorney Jay Carson.

If you read the analysis on the shooter, you’ll notice his delusion that HE was the one being harassed. While HE was convicted of harassment, he saw it as himself being the victim.

Again, delusional thinking. Another sign of mental instability.

The response of the local police in this instance is very typical. They frequently refuse to do much about stalking, harassing, or obsessive behavior until the perp directly threatens physical harm, or worse, DOES actual harm, as in this case. The problem is, by then it is too late.

During a conference call with newspaper employees on May 24, 2013, Anne Arudel County Police officer Michael Praley told them he "did not believe that Mr. Ramos was a threat to employees for the Capital. ... He has not attempted to enter the Capital Newspaper building or sent direct threatening correspondence.

USA TODAY: Why weren't gunman's harassing tweets a warning to police?
