Learn about Lakewood's Mainstreet program on Monday, March 27 at 7 p.m. at the Main Library Auditorium.
How can a community like Lakewood balance preservation and economic development? The Ohio Mainstreet Program focuses on commercial district revitalization in older communities. Jennifer Hooper, Executive Director of Lakewood Community Progress Incorportated will discuss the Mainstreet progarm in Lakewood and Michael Fleenor from the Cleveland Restoration Society will explain the importance of preservation to successful development in older communities. Topics include storefront renovation, in-fill architecture and maintaining the architectural integrity of a city.
This program is free and open to the public. Co-sponsored by the Lakewood Historical Society and the Lakewood Public Library.
