Podcast tour

Postby Joe McClain » Thu Jul 07, 2005 8:11 am

I'm involved in producing a podcast campus tour of William and Mary. It occured to me that a podcast tour of Lakewood might be cool and might present Lakewood as a cool place. Whadda think?

Joe-

We love the idea! This is something that Stan Austin, Bill Grulich and I have been talking over for some time.

Here's how we're proceeding down here: We have the venerable campus walking tours to use as a starting point. We walk the tour with a clipboard and stopwatch, marking down each point of interest and change of direction. Then we record the amount of time necessary to walk from point a to b. If it's 34 seconds, then I write 34 seconds of patter or copy or description or whatever.
Seems the easiest way to me, anyway.

In Lakewood, of course, you'd have to plan your route, decide if it's walking or driving, one tour or several, etc.
