The Lakewood Historical Society web site contains links to all sorts of web information about our city. One of the many features is a page entitled "Lakewood Lore: A Collection of Historical Stories and Profiles" by Dan Chabek. These columns began as a series in 1989 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Lakewood's founding. They appeared in the Lakewood Sun Post, under the heading Lakewood Lore. Mr. Chabek passed away January 29, 2008.
