Below is the April 19, 2010 proclamation passed by the Lakewood City School District Board of Education congratulating the Lakewood Catholic Academy on its educational excellence. A copy of the signed proclamation is attached.
April 19, 2010 Lakewood City School District Board of Education Proclamation Congratulating the Lakewood Catholic Academy wrote:
Whereas: Lakewood Catholic Academy was opened in the fall of 2005 to continue the tradition of excellence in Catholic education established by its founding parishes: St. Clement, St. James, and St. Luke, and
Whereas: In just five years, Lakewood Catholic Academy has established its own tradition of excellence and is leading the way toward the future of Catholic education, and
Whereas: Lakewood Catholic Academy is now home to nearly 600 students in preschool through grade eight and is an important and critical part of the mix of excellent educational opportunities in the City of Lakewood, and
Whereas: Lakewood Catholic Academy provides an important parochial school option that attracts more good families to Lakewood as a great place to raise their children, and
Whereas: Lakewood Catholic Academy will continue the tradition of excellence in teaching and learning that Lakewood is known for, and
Whereas: The Lakewood Catholic Academy Community will celebrate both its short history and its bright future with a Gala Birthday Celebration on Saturday, April 24th, 2010, and
Now, Therefore Be It Resolved, that the Board of Education and the Superintendent of Schools hereby Congratulate the Faculty, Staff and Students of Lakewood Catholic Academy upon achieving this important milestone and look forward to your many years of future success in serving Lakewood and your students!
