Garfield Middle School will hold a blood drive in honor of one of its students, 8th grader Jeremy Steinbrick, and all children fighting cancer tomorrow, March 6, from 3-7 pm. Due to increased community interest the drive, Garfield is asking that any donors who plan to attend the drive on Monday use RapidPass to make your donation as efficient as possible. Please go to www.redcrossblood.org/RapidPass to answer your health history questions before you come to your appointment, bring your RapidPass barcode to the drive, and shave 15 minutes off of your donation time. Please note that RapidPass is not required to donate but will assist the Red Cross in processing as many donations as possible.
Appointments are STRONGLY encouraged and will get you in and out faster. Please make an appointment at www.redcross.org with the sponsor code Garfield Middle School. If you do not have an appointment, you will still be able to give blood. If you are not able to make this blood drive but still would like to give, please visit redcross.org to find a blood drive near you.
