CLEVELAND -- A woman was shot and killed during a robbery at a west side Laundromat Thursday.

The shooting happened at about 4:30 a.m. Thursday on West 25th Street at the Soap Opera Laundry.

Police told NewsChannel5 that a man entered the Laundromat and two female employees were inside.

A co-worker said the man said, "Good morning," and then told the women to give him their money.

She said he had a gun to the other woman's back and demanded the jewelry from her neck and wrist. She said the woman tried to fight back and was shot in the head. She died at the scene.

He then asked the co-worker for money. She gave it to him and he fired a shot at her before leaving.

The victims has been identified as Tracy Pickryl.

Her co-worker said Pickryl didn't deserve what happened to her.

"She was a good person," a co-worker said. "She would take the shirt off her back for someone if need be."

Police are looking for the gunman. They are also checking at the possibility that there may be some type of surveillance video.

Meanwhile, a fund has been set up at Charter One Bank for Pickryl's family. People can go into any Charter One branch and donate to the Tracy Pickryl Family Fund.
