Hear Our Voices: Free MLK Day Celebration
11:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Explore how iconic civil rights leader Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and everyday citizens fought against discrimination to change America. See our current special exhibition, Beyond Chicken Soup: Jews & Medicine in America, to learn about the historic struggle for equality in health care and take a look at the future of medicine in America. Then, share a cause you would fight for! Join in a lively panel discussion with Margaret Mitchell of the YWCA, Peggy Zone-Fisher of the Diversity Center, Jazmin Long of Global Cleveland, and Kayla Griffin of the NAACP on civil rights, gender, and race today. Plus, enjoy music from the Evelyn Wright Quartet on this family-friendly day.
