Together, We're Building a Thriving Green City on a Blue Lake

A key component of Mayor Frank G. Jackson's Sustainable Cleveland initiative is the annual summit. This event brings together a diverse group of people vested in and dedicated to Cleveland to use their vast knowledge and imagination to create an action plan for building a green economy for Cleveland’s future.

The 9th Annual Sustainable Cleveland Summit will begin on Wednesday, September 27th at 2:00pm with remarks from Mayor Frank G. Jackson, a presentation on the state of Sustainable Cleveland, and an opportunity for everyone to contribute to planning for culmination of the initiative in 2019. Mark Tercek, President and CEO of The Nature Conservancy, will deliver a powerful keynote address before the reception begins at 5:30pm.

2017 Lakewood Candidates Forum

The Lakewood Chapter of the League of Women Voters of Greater Cleveland and the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce will host a Candidates Forum on Wednesday, September 27th at 7:00pm at Lakewood City Hall Auditorium. This is an opportunity to hear from candidates for Lakewood City Council At-Large and Lakewood City Schools Board of Education.

Questions will be taken from the audience. Come and hear the candidates' views, goals, and objectives concerning the public office in which they wish to serve.

The League of Women Voters and the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce are nonpartisan organizations with a deeply held commitment to providing candidate and issues information to secure an informed electorate. The Candidates Forum is not an endorsement or rejection of any candidate's views.
