TED Talk: Every Piece of Art You've Ever Wanted to See - Up Close & Searchable
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
What does a cultural Big Bang look like? For Amit Sood, director of Google's Cultural Institute and Art Project, it's an online platform where anyone can explore the world's greatest collections of art and artifacts in vivid, lifelike detail. Join Sood and Google artist in residence Cyril Diagne in a mind-bending demo of experiments from the Cultural Institute and glimpse the exciting future of accessibility to arts and culture. Follow-up discussion led by Eric Jaworowski.

TED Talks are influential videos from expert speakers on education, business, science, tech and creativity. On Sundays, during the summer, members of Olmsted Unitarian Universalist Congregation watch a TED talk followed by a discussion led by one of our members.
Location:
5050 Porter Road, North Olmsted Ohio 44070

Dedication of new Black Lives Matter Banner that was stolen from West Shore UU Church last week
11:15 AM
SUNDAY JULY 17 @ 11:15am
Dedication out front for new banner

Our “Black Lives Matter” banner is missing.
It was stolen. It will be replaced.

Join us Sunday morning after the service outside at 11:15am to dedicate the new banner.

We will replace it because American history has shown that black lives do not matter as much as white lives. There are people who feel if we support an issue or group such as the “Black Lives Matter” group, we must be against another group such as the police. That is not the real world. We can address the need for reform in the justice system and still support the dedicated men and women in blue uniforms. The people of this church are not anti-police. We all acknowledge the police have a difficult and dangerous job. At the end of their day they want to safely return home to their families. And, so do people of color.
