Computer Assisted Genealogy Group (CAGG) Cleveland West
9:30 AM - 2:00 PM
Ohio's Canal System
John Dailey
We will look at how the Ohio Canals opened the new state of Ohio and led to its growth financially, politically and population growth.
Prior to the construction of the Canals, Ohio had a large agricultural system but no way to economically get the goods to market. After the Canals opened, manufacturing quickly followed.
USER GROUPS: There will be three user groups for May.
Family Tree Maker - RootsMagic and TMG - and again: DNA
Afternoon Computer Fundamentals
Computer Refresher Before our Summer Break.
Jean Hoffman
We'll review all the tips and shortcuts time allows to help us get the most out of our various computers. This tune up should help get us through all that summer research until we meet again in September.
CAGG meetings are like mini-seminars and are usually held nine times a year, normally on the third Saturday of each month, with no meetings in July, August, or December. The meetings start at 9:30 a.m. and consist of a "main program" in the morning, software user's groups at 11:00 a.m.; lunch at noon and a Computer Fundamentals session starting at 1:00 p.m. until 2 p.m.
