Westlake, Ohio—July 14, 2015—There’s still time to order tickets at a special early-bird discounted price for Blues Fuse, an evening of camaraderie and cool music featuring the Blues-in-Schools Jazz Trio from Kent State University–Stark. Presented by Passion for Change, the ticketed after-work event will be held on Tuesday, July 28, in the Lower Garden at Georgetown restaurant, 18515 Detroit Road in Lakewood, Ohio, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held indoors at Vosh, the Georgetown nightclub adjacent to the restaurant.

Generous appetizers will be served, and a cash bar will be available. Parking is free. Until July 25, early-bird tickets are $35 each, or two for $65. All single tickets will be $40 each after July 25. A portion of the ticket price will be donated to Passion for Change. Blues-in-Schools is a 12-week instructional program for Northeast Ohio youth in middle and high school sponsored by Kent State–Stark since 2007. Blues-in-Schools has produced some of Northeast Ohio’s most talented up-and-coming young blues performers.

Passion for Change is a Westlake-based not-for-profit that serves as a catalyst in breaking the stigma of mental illness by shedding light, challenging misperception and driving change through research, advocacy and education. Their core program is Communicators for Mental Health, designed as a national prototype and currently a Greater Cleveland Pilot Project developed in partnership with Greater Cleveland mental health and addiction organizations.

Lakewood Collaborative Job Club Meeting

The Lakewood Collaborative is hosting a monthly Job Club at the Lakewood Public Library. The next Job Club meeting will be held on Tuesday July 28th, from 6-8 p.m. at the Lakewood Library. We will have a guest speaker from the organization Dress for Success. The topic will be "promoting the job seekers self-sufficiency by providing a competitive edge while searching for new employment". Also, we will provide information and resources to assist people with finding a job in today's market. The Job Club is free and open to the public.
