A Little Princess presented by Beck Center Youth Theater

In this timeless tale from the same author of The Secret Garden, Sara Crewe begins her adventures in Miss Minchin's Select Seminary for Young Ladies. When her fortune changes from rich girl to poor orphan, she is challenged by a cruel headmistress, hard labor, and terrible living conditions. Despite all of this, Sara maintains her generosity and imagination, ultimately reversing her destiny.

With a cast of 33 Beck Center students ages 6 to 16, this family-friendly production is directed by Jenna Messina.

Corruption in the 2016 Election

Campaign reform activist and Fordham University law professor Zephyr Teachout will speak on the history of corruption in the United States from its founding to the present day and will examine the various issues surrounding corruption from their constitutional origins through the Citizens United ruling, and expose the sources of power behind it. Teachout is the author of Corruption in America: From Benjamin Franklin’s Snuff Box to Citizen’s United (Harvard University Press 2014).
