Fine Furniture, Paintings & Decorations

A wide selection of decorative arts, furniture, rugs, and fine art will be sold at Gray’s July 31st, 2012 Summer Auction. The auction features an array of decorative arts including a bold and colorful Terre de faience pitcher by Pablo Picasso from 1953, a large Meissen Porcelain Figural Group ca. 1760 entitled “The Card Players”, and a vibrant collection of glassware and paperweights. Furniture highlights include a George III Mahogany Breakfront Secretary Library Bookcase, ca. 1760s, and a selection of wrought metal furniture such as the Diego Giacometti Inspired Wrought Metal and Bronze Table with Bronze Horse Head Decoration and Walnut Top. The sale will start with a selection of abstract works by the Pennsylvanian artist Nathan Dunn (1896–1983) and will conclude with an inspiring assortment of rugs, in particular an impressive 20’ x 13’ Tabriz wool rug. The auction will take place in the auction showrooms at 10717 Detroit Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio at 11am on Wednesday June 27. Live bidding will also be offered online through Gray’s Live Bidding and telephone bidding will be accepted with pre-registration.
