H20 Sharefest Carnival
Sharefest is a carnival for families with young children. There will be 30 games and craft booths, most $.25 each. All proceeds will benefit Lakewood Christian Service Center. Sharefest is sponsored by H2O "Help to Others" Summer Service Camp through Lakewood Dept. of Human Services, Division of Youth.

Following Sharefest, families can enjoy the Friday Night Flick, The Tale of Desperaux (G), at the bandstand in Lakewood Park.

Free Band2gether Concert
Downtown Lakewood and Lakewood Is Art is proud to bring you the 2009 Band2gether: One World Music Series season. Youth rock bands and four world bands will entertain the community on Fridays from 7-9 p.m. in July and August.

Prepare to join in the community exuberance of the shared musical experience. The series is free and open to the public.

July 24: Little Known Fact; Jim From Portland; Emergency Exit
July 31: Back for More; J to the 4th; Overload

One World Concerts:
August 7: The Whiskey Island Ramblers (Irish)
August 14: Rice & Beans (Latin); Timmy and Troop dance workshop
August 21: Carlos Jones and the P.L.U.S. Band (Reggae)
August 28: Stars of the East (Middle Eastern); belly dancing demonstration

Join us at Lakewood Park for a free outdoor movie. The movie will begin at dusk.
