Cleveland Reads new tutor orientation

Give the Gift of Reading. Tutor this summer!

Did you know that only one out of every five elementary-aged children is read to in the home?

Cleveland Reads is seeking volunteer tutors to work with children or adults. A free, three-hour training is provided to teach techniques and skills necessary for tutoring. You will then be referred to one of 100 literacy programs in Cuyahoga County that need your help.

Building Literacy Skills in Children will be held Thursday June 12th from 5:30-8:30pm. Contact Volunteer Coordinator Jennifer Frigolette at 216-436-2116 or jfrigolette@uws.org to register for this free training or get more information.
